Residential (Re-model) Repair
Below are some examples of a residential
re-model repairs:
This first picture below is an example of a post-tension slab
that was not properly marked with a post-tension plate in the
garage. In this situation, a general contractor was called in by
the homeowner to re-model. While he was re-locating
plumbing pipes for a new bathroom, 3 post-tension cables
were accidentally saw cut. This picture is showing 3 repaired
cables ready to be stressed to full pressure.
This second picture is the same exact situation as above. Three
cables were hit while the contractor was adding plumbing.
These next 3 pictures were from the same job site. This
shows the damage that saw cutting and jack hammering can
do to existing post-tension cables. Out of 18 exposed
post-tension cables, 14 were broken.
This picture below is a mechanical device that is used when
space is tight.
