This first picture below is an example of shoring that has failed
creating a massive hole in an elevated post-tension deck.
Commercial Structure Repair
This second picture below is the deck being cut almost in half
in order to save 150 profile tendons. Scrap 3x3 blocks were
flown out with crane. Next picture you see is edge of slab
that was saw cut.
The next two pictures are 150 couplers attached to both ends
of cable within PVC pipe to be covered in concrete and
re-stressed.
Below are examples of commercial jobs
(large & small):
This picture below is of two cables that have been repaired
within an elevated post-tension deck. An electrician drilled
through the deck and broke one cable. The cable exploded
out of the top of the deck and broke the cable next to it.
This next picture is a different cable that had the same
reaction as above. It also blew out the top of the deck and
broke the cable next to it.
This next picture is a ceiling view of a parking structure. The
tendon was broken by a plumber using a drill 60 feet away on
the same slab next floor up at the top of the profile. All the
force of the tendon found the least coverage of concrete at
the bottom of the profile and broke through.
